In Ohio, we joke that if you don’t like the weather, just wait a day–or even an hour. It literally feels like it’s rained the entire last week. It’s made my weather headaches nightmarish for sure. But it’s also made the grass turn green and grow like crazy. We’re hoping it clears up before Monday so the eclipse is easy to see.

Schools around here have closed for this momentous occasion. The girls are looking forward to a three day weekend for sure! I’m looking forward to a weekend and planning on working from home Monday to avoid the extra traffic of viewers coming to town to see the event as we are in the path of totality. I know it is a cool event, but I feel like I am in awe of these types of events every morning when God takes my breath away with a sunrise. Yes-some aren’t nearly as breathtaking as others, but literally every morning God takes my breath away with a beautiful sunrise.

So hopefully Monday is more than I anticipate and not as crazy as anticipated…and the showers leave here.
