Today is the last day of school for my girls. When I pick the girls up I will no longer have a Kindergartner and a 1st grader. I will have a 1st grader and a 2nd grader. In a way it makes this mommy’s heart a little sad as my baby is growing up fast! It is true that they say the days are long and the years are short.

But to see their excitement! Their feeling of accomplishment of completing a year of school, yet not realizing how much they truly have grown is what I love the most. It’s contagious and makes my heart swell! My husband and I are so excited to spend the summer with them!

We all are looking forward to summertime! They are looking forward to the summer and spending lots of time outdoors playing with Rory and Oliver as well as the neighbor girls–yes we have neighbors even on our 8 acres! They are looking forward to celebrating their cousins birthdays this weekend. Horse camp in a couple of weeks. Eye doctor appointments. Savannah Banana game. Trip to Aunt Lori’s for Megan’s baby shower! Cheer camp…a Trip from Tia and Tio and the Virginia cousins in July…and who knows what else we’ll do. I know there are shopping trips planned, pool trips to Mamaw and Papaws, and probably lots of other fun things.

While things come to an end, there is always a new of something…They’re walking through one era into another.
