Rory has been with us just over a month now. She has settled in very nicely and has become the princess of the family! She sleeps through the night, is almost potty trained fully, loves her sisters, her kitty sister, and doggy brother. Her goofy personality shines through on a daily basis.

Every morning, she acts like it’s been days since she has seen us. It’s the best way to wake up, but it does take some encouraging to make her go do her potties! She then gets her energy out by playing with Oliver before some breakfast–which she will let you know she is hungry!

Her nap time is by my feet in the office while I work. She loves it now that it is summer and she can have play time with the girls. Ellie and her have really taken to one another. That girl loves her animals. I guarantee she has a farm one day (or at least a house full of animals and kids!).

Rory has certainly found herself in a few hilarious predicaments lately! She’s managed to wedge herself between the trundle bed and the twin bed in the office, made a daring escape from the yard just to join us while we worked on the chicken coop, and—of course—got scolded for playing a little too enthusiastically with the kitty’s toy.

She’s also developed quite the love for water! She’s snuck into the shower with Mom, chased the hose while Mom was watering her plants, and even got in trouble for digging in the flower pots. And don’t even get me started on her obsession with ice cubes—she can hear someone getting ice from across the house and comes sprinting in, sitting pretty and waiting like a pro. At this rate, she’ll be helping herself to them in no time!

The resemblance she shares with Blossom is truly uncanny—I must have a type when it comes to dogs! She’s my little shadow, always underfoot (and often stepping on the back of my flip-flops), helping with the dishwasher like it’s her job, and pouting dramatically whenever she hears the word “no.” But above all, she’s an absolute sweetheart.

Puppy life definitely has its challenges, but she’s been the perfect addition to our family—the little princess we didn’t know we needed.
