Unraveling of June

June 20, 2025

My new hobby has included painting some door hangers! It’s super relaxing! The above is one I did that will hang on our chicken coop–that is almost done! We have to paint the indoors, some of the trim work and get the hardware cloth hung on the run! Then these ladies can move in! Here’s a picture of beautiful Black Bird (Golden Laced Wyandotte). She is also nicknamed Road-runner as she is probably the fastest lady we have! She was saying hi as I walked past!

In addition to finishing up the coop-which still has a bit to go, we have been training Rory more and enjoying Summer. The girls did a few days at horse camp. We now have pool noodle horses in our house. Rory is deathly afraid of them thanks to Emma and Ellie! We also had Life-Group at our house one Wednesday and it was nice just to have people here and fellowship. We also had an outing downtown to see Savannah Bananas! The girls had a blast! They are definitely something you should see!

We’re looking forward to the rest of June…a trip to my aunts for a baby shower this weekend. PTG meetings next week along with an early 4th of July party at my step-brother’s. Somewhere in there we hope to finish the chicken coop so I can share that with everyone. But our life is always unraveling like a ball of yarn in one way or another. We just go with it!
