So it’s been over a month…a super busy unraveling of my life crazy chaotic exhausting month.
The end of the school year is tough on parents. It’s tough on teacher’s. It’s tough on teacher’s wives. And it’s tough on PTG leaders. So here’s a recap of what all the Chickens Unraveled Family has been up to…
In April we decided to start building a new chicken coop. I will have to do a whole separate post on this. It’s truly been a work in progress and we have learned quite a bit. It’s not finished yet, but hopefully soon as summer begins.
We also took the time to start seedlings for our garden! And man did I over plant! I apparently can make some seeds grow very well! We’ll end up giving away some plants even and we’re still working on putting them in the garden…I’ll post some pictures of that in a different post as well.
Another thing that we’ve been up to is, we added a member to our household! I missed my puppy dog Blossom Anne so much and while no dog or animal could replace her, I always knew when she left this earth, that I would get a doodle of some sort. I had started looking mid-April and found a breeder in Illinois that had Bernedoodles. So early May we welcomed Miss Aurora “Rory” Jane to our family! She has been with us 2 weeks and 2 days and has become bonded with Oliver, is getting the hang of potty training, has completed her puppy vaccines, grown about 5 lbs, learned the word off and that socks are not chew toys, and has stolen our hearts. She is almost like my Blossom Anne in a lot larger size as she will get to be about 65 lbs we believe which is even bigger than Oliver! But she is a love and pouts when scolded. Super smart. Wants to just be with me. And I love it!
Additionally, PTG kept me busy. Teacher appreciation week is beginning of May and Field Day is mid-May. Lots and lots of things to do. Field trips were had, concerts were sung, and this is all on top of every day life! This morning we believe that Elsa one of our Cinnamon Queens is starting to become broody, so this will be a fun new adventure as well! Hopefully it won’t keep me from writing for over a month though!
