It’s been over two months since my last post—summer truly flew by with the girls home! Now that my husband has been back in school for three weeks and the girls are starting their second full week, the shift in routine has been exhausting. We’re slowly finding our rhythm again, but wow, what a whirlwind!

It hasn’t just been the shift in schedules—it’s all the extra activities we’ve packed in lately! And I’m not just talking about cheer leading practices and games or the new horseback riding time. We’ve added orthodontist appointments, cousin play dates, farewell dinners for former coworkers, spaying our new puppy, picking up six new chicks for the flock, and birthday celebrations with family!

With so much going on, we’ve had to skip a few church picnics and other events that were just too much for the girls to handle on top of everything else. They had meltdowns this past weekend over not being able to roll their own window down or who was sitting outside with them. It was exhausting.

Hopefully September will bring more of a rhythm for them. The calendar starts to get a little less chaotic and settles down a little. I’ll then post about the chicken coop–the girls love it! and I’ll be posting about the new chicks!
