I’ve been learning a lot recently. Not only about living out in the country, but about blogging, about integrating with a new company, and a navigating a new health issue.
Country Happenings
We’ve been starting to plan a chicken coop. We’ve been researching how to build your own as well as premade ones along with nesting boxes, watering and feeding gadgets. The whole nine-yards. Did you know chickens are just like any other animal and like toys? There’s also some that are mean and some that are hearty. Some lay colored eggs some do not. Some cackle when they lay eggs. There’s so much to just consider…and a lot of it comes down to preference. Apparently some chickens are nicer than others as well. Lots of people buy their kids chickens for Easter–did you happen to buy your kids chicks for Easter and if so–what kind did you choose?
Speaking of Easter–did you have a good one? We had a very relaxing one? The girls and hubby were on Spring Break. I took Thursday and Friday off…Thursday we went to the Reds Opening Day–Go RedLegs! It was a beautiful day for baseball. The girls enjoyed a day with mawmaw Susan and papaw Mike and some cousins. They were worn out by the end of the day for sure.
Friday we had a relaxing day. It was good to just be together and home. Saturday we had Emma’s dance; took the dogs to the groomers; and took the girls Easter basket shopping….again nothing fancy or big, but just relaxing.
Sunday-the day of Celebration–we went to breakfast at church and church itself. Mamaw Terri was sick, so we didn’t get to do our traditional Easter dinner with the step family, but we got to Celebrate the Risen Savior, and that’s all that really matters. We got to rest and spend some time outside as well. All in all it was a good way to wind down Spring Break.
Blogging Learning Curve
I’ve been learning a lot about the blogging thing as well. Google Ads; How to post products; How to drive views to the site. There’s a lot of different opinions out there on what is the best method and what are the tried and true ways. I don’t know that I’m doing it the way any one person would, but I’m having fun learning and it’s distracting me from the chaos of other things in life and work.
