Life has been a bit chaotic lately. Early March, Flu A hit our house hard, and I ended up with a sinus and ear infection in addition to the flu nonsense. The medication for the ear infections caused awful blood pressure headaches.

Just as we were about to take the trip that had been planned for early March, my husband came home and was sick all night. My uncle is afraid of germs, so we canceled the trip again. Instead, I spent the weekend planting seeds for the garden while my husband puttered around the house. The house has felt a bit quiet without Blossom.

Oliver and Luna have adapted well to life without Blossom. Oliver gives and gets extra cuddles. I have to move him from the girls in the morning to get them dressed. He’s a bit out of sorts this week because my husband’s aunt is staying with us to recover from a hospital stay, and her dog is here too. Thankfully they get along great and enjoy playing with one another. He just misses his 1:1 cuddle time.

Spring break hasn’t gone as planned, but it hasn’t been bad. The girls have been running around like crazy, burning off energy. I’ve managed to get a lot of work done, thankfully. My husband and I are trying to get some things that have been planned for awhile accomplished as well–like a real dresser in our master bedroom.

I’m anxious to get working on the chicken coop, but unfortunately the weather has not been very cooperative for us to start working on that project. We will get there though. We need to get our girls a more solid home and we desperately want the automatic coop door to open in the mornings!

One of the treats I bought myself with my extra job money is something I’ve been wanting for years now….it was on sale for over half price off and it just seemed right with all the projects I’ve been getting into. I’ll reveal it when it comes…so stay tuned!
